The hosts at Casa Xaan really made this a very enjoyable stay. The room was very large, clean and the bed was comfortable. A slight walk to the centre but very safe neighbourhood. Recommended!
Stayed there in early December. Highly recommend. A clean space with good common facilities (kitchen, pool and jacuzzi), a really cozy environment and, mainly, a really attentive and friendly staff. The room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom. It may seem far from the center but it’s a simple and safe 15 minute walk. A special thanks to Mario for the amazing tips and helpfulness.
If we could give this 10/5 we would. If visiting Valladolid you must stay here. Its clean, tidy, modern the shower has fantastic pressure and the people who run it are so friendly. The pool area is clean and we are honestly surprised why it isn’t fully booked. Its a little out the main square 15/20 min walk but for the price youre paying its well worth it!!
Loved this place. Hotel was beautifully arranged. Manicured garden. Lovely bathroom and the staff were so attentive and polite. Such a goodfind. Really appreciated the delicious coffee and lil pastry/toast before we set off for ruins. Little bit of a walk into town in 40c heat but I imagine much easier on cooler periods
Super friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Cleaned every day plus free water! Pool is a nice addition to relax in the afternoon. Reception manager Mario was extremely welcoming and always happy to help. He gave us many suggestions the day we arrived including tips for restaurants and tours in the area. The only downside would be the distance to the city main square. But thats not a big deal for us.
We stayed for one night while traveling from Tulum to Chichen Itza, and for the price, this place is a great deal! At around $70 CAD per night, it offers solid value. The receptionist was friendly and spoke English well, going above and beyond to help us when a small gecko made its way into our room upon check-in. The room itself had a TV with Netflix, a nice living room area, and a communal kitchen if you want to cook something up. There’s also a small swimming pool, though we didn’t use it. The only downside was the clogged bathroom sink, but honestly, for $70 a night, it's hard to complain. One thing worth mentioning: the surrounding area had some smoke from what seemed like cooking or bonfires, which seeped into the room. It was a bit tough for my family, especially since we have asthma, so just something to keep in mind when booking. We used inhalers for the night and had a bit of chest pain the next day. Additionally, there were some random fireworks and loud music at night, but it seemed like a one-off. Overall, a great spot for the price, just be mindful of the local surroundings if you have respiratory sensitivities!
